When people in the United States hear “the Czech Republic,” many immediately think of Prague, architecture, culture, beer, or a strong industrial tradition. All of these are undoubtedly part of who we are. But today, the Czech Republic also stands out for its technology, innovation, and modern business potential.
This is the side of the Czech Republic that deserves greater attention. In recent years, we have seen a growing number of Czech companies bringing smart, practical, and internationally competitive solutions to the market. These are not just interesting ideas. They are companies capable of addressing specific market needs, working with advanced technologies, and thinking globally from the very beginning.
That is why, in 2025, together with the Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce and other partners, we established the Czech Business Incubator Atlanta. Through CBIA, we brought together the resources and experience of entrepreneurs who have already succeeded in the U.S. market, with the goal of helping Czech high-tech companies find their own path to America.
Our primary role is to build a bridge between Czech technology companies and the U.S. business environment. We help open doors, facilitate relevant contacts, provide guidance, and create a space where initial conversations can gradually turn into concrete business opportunities. And once such an opportunity takes shape, we are also able to offer administrative, production, logistics, and marketing support through the infrastructure we have already built in Atlanta.
Taken together, this creates a comprehensive ecosystem. It does not provide one-off services only, but can accompany Czech companies through the first years of their presence in the U.S. market.
For many companies, the United States represents an extraordinary opportunity. At the same time, it is also a highly demanding environment. A strong product is essential, but it is not enough on its own. It is just as important to understand the local business culture, find the right partners, build trust, and choose a realistic market-entry strategy.
We see Georgia as an ideal environment for this first step. It offers a strong business climate, a strategic location, a growing innovation ecosystem, and an openness to international cooperation. For Czech companies, Georgia can serve as a natural gateway to the United States. It is a place where they can gain a better understanding of the American market, test their potential, establish their first relevant relationships, and prepare for further expansion.
Among the companies that illustrate this potential are Czech firms such as Buylo and Lightly. Each of them shows, in its own way, that Czech companies today can bring solutions with relevance far beyond the domestic market. They are technologically advanced, commercially ambitious, and ready to compete in an environment where quality, speed, reliability, and adaptability matter.
These are exactly the kinds of stories we consider important. They help change the way the Czech Republic is perceived. They show our country not only as a place with a rich history and strong industrial heritage, but also as a country of modern companies, capable teams, and innovations with international potential.
The Czech Republic may not be a large country in terms of population, but in many areas it can offer surprisingly strong know-how, a deep technical culture, and an ability to find practical solutions to complex problems.
For us, supporting Czech high-tech companies abroad is more than a business activity. It is also a way to strengthen the reputation of the Czech Republic, expand its economic ties, and show that Czech companies can be trusted partners for American businesses, investors, and institutions. Every successful collaboration helps not only one company, but also adds another proof point that Czech innovation has a place in the world.
Our ambition in this regard is simple: to help Czech companies become more visible, better prepared, and more strongly connected to the opportunities the U.S. market has to offer. We believe that the combination of strong technologies, personal relationships, and long-term work can lead to results that truly matter.
The Czech Republic has something to offer the world. And we in Georgia want to help make sure that more and more people in the United States know it.
